Co-op of the Day: 427 15th Street, #4C
This two-bedroom at 427 15th Street isn’t the sexiest co-op around but it’s decently-sized, in good shape and quite light. Throw in a low maintenance of $541, proximity to the park and exclusive roof rights and the asking price of $499,000 starts sounding pretty good, doesn’t it (though it’s a walk-up so no lazy bones…

But, ok, I can’t help it. I get that people need two bedrooms and cannot afford more space than this. And it’s not a shack….it’s just tight. But still….
Ditto ditto; it’s so tight as a two-bedroom. Make it a one and let it breath!
(Telltale sign of too-tightness: couch rammed against kitchen peninsula. I really have a pet peeve about that. I just…..oh, I cannot look at that with out thinking of tomato sauce splattering on that couch.)
Ditto Delepp’s dissension.
It’s a two bedroom where all gets shortchanged. Turn it back to a one bedroom and live a little larger.
I’m intrigued, but the listing is terrible. I know the main selling point is the roof rights, but to not have a picture of a bedroom or the bathroom is pretty bad.
The washer/dryer hookup is a nice bit, beats having to lug laundry up and down the stairs. I want to like the unit much more, but the agent did a crappy job with the listing, combined with the price it makes me slightly wary about what you’d actually find.
ok, not bad, windows in all the rooms, works for me.
