The ninth-floor pad has corner exposure and the views are killer. The prewar details are also exactly what you’d hope for. The maintenance for the 1,000-square-foot apartment is $1,318, maybe a touch higher than you’d like to see but not unreasonable for a full-service building.

There’s a floor plan on the broker’s website. Good layout, with two big bedrooms (though I question their claim that prewars are known for their large bedrooms–maybe out of ignorance).
Who cares about the staging. You’re buying the apartment, not their furniture placements. Too bad no floor plan but both bedrooms look huge.
When i was a kid i always wanted to live in that building! To bid , or not to bid.
Good apartment, good layout, lots of windows in all the rooms, Now this is how apartments should be layed out.
Great area. This get 2 thumbs up from me. and I usually don’t like anything.
It definitely looks like SBO (staging by owner). They’ve done nothing to make the place look nicer, but they probably feel (with some justification) that the size, light, and finishes will sell themselves and that they just needed to avoid distracting from those virtues.
This will probably sell very close to asking.
It looks like they are just following all of the staging instructions given on HGTV. Neutralize, blandify and de-clutter. Actually, I find it helps me focus on the space rather than the furnishing in it. And I do like this space. And those views. Very much. It’s too rich for this uncouth hinterland dweller’s blood, but so it goes.
I am assuming that the apartment is not currently occupied and is staged. Because if not, it is the most lifeless apartment I’ve seen in a while. It’s a nice space, with lots of light, and nice rooms. Even though I know what’s in it would have nothing to do with me, the furnishings and the bare walls are not helping me like it much.
Just my opinion, though. carry on.
Lovely space and the bedroom with those two exposures is really special. Maintenance would need to be researched but still a terrific space.
Given the location, probably a fair price. Maintenance certainly isn’t cheap, but in line with what one would expect an expensive old building on GAP to have.
