The floorplan of this two-bedroom co-op at 10 Montgomery Place in Park Slope is a little awkward and we’re not loving the finishes in the remodeled kitchen, but the main rooms have a very nice feel and the location is sweet. The monthly maintenance of $949 is also quite reasonable. Overall, we could see there being interest near the asking price of $665,000. Do you agree?

  1. it’s really silly to skim coat the walls when the layout is so awful. Either do it right or don’t do anything. The price is reasonable, the building is beautiful, the location is great, the kitchen is ugly and there are not enough closets.

  2. Nice entry to the building.

What’s wrong with the kitchen finishes (other than the lack of range hood)? Somebody refresh my memory about Mr. B and his quirky bias…is it the polished granite?

  3. It’s a Monty building.

I wonder what the apartment used to look like before all the charm was removed? The location is great, but the apartment not so much.

  4. Great location.

    Beautiful facade.

    Awful apartment.

Well, I guess the price goes to prove that the old adage is true: the golden rule in real estate is location, location, location.

    Anyway, no thanks.

  5. Well….a 2 bedroom in the building went to contract in April with an asking price of $835,000.

Also, a 4 bedroom unit in the building went to contract on May 2 with an asking price of $1.495 million

And a 1 bedroom went to contract on 5/28 in the building with a recent asking price of $585,000.

So I’d say 665K for a 2 bedroom doesn’t sound too bad given the very recent history of transactions in the building.
