The floorplan of this two-bedroom co-op at 10 Montgomery Place in Park Slope is a little awkward and we’re not loving the finishes in the remodeled kitchen, but the main rooms have a very nice feel and the location is sweet. The monthly maintenance of $949 is also quite reasonable. Overall, we could see there being interest near the asking price of $665,000. Do you agree?

  1. Saw this unit a few months ago with some friends. I’ll sum it up – blech, blech, blech. The ONLY thing this apartment has going for it is the location. Totally charmless interior and horrible layout.

  2. “No appliances are allowed, Boreum Hill. Must use a wood stove and box filled with ice as in Victorian times.” (11217)

No, that’s mopar you’re thinking of.

(Sorry, mopar. I never tire of teasing you about your anachronistic kitchen preferences. You, however, may be quite tired of it .. . . )

  3. In my building, these funky units often get bought up my neighbors. Get two neighbors to pay you 300k each and split it. They’d each add 2 bedrooms and a bath (with some work) to their places — jumping for, say, 2 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms is worth far more than 300k in this location.

  4. Presume the ‘second bedroom’ was the dining room at some point.
I like the interior shots and don’t mind the kitchen at all but I think it would be very hard to use as a two bedroom.
Of course the location is perfect. Still I think the price should come down some b/c of the layout.

  5. so where does one eat in this place? no dining area except a small niche in the entry. Don’t tell me you have to eat in this “I’d look better in a manufactured home” kitchen.
Would be better if there was no 2nd bedroom and it were dining and closets.
