Co-op of the Day: 55 Hicks Street, #3
This new listing at 55 Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights is pretty small (in fact it looks like it might be better off as a studio than a one-bedroom) but everything looks ship-shape and the location’s pretty sweet. This ist the most overpriced storage bin I have ever seen in BH.
Hey, BH76, this is on the first floor. So how is it a walk-up? Because you walk up the street to get there?
4jo room? The japanese are dirty.
Teensy. Only people who are used to living in a 4jo Japanese “room” could live here. Not me.
Like imaginary ones and/or cats?
Maybe it’s for people that don’t have many friends. Or just small ones.
I just realized something… “with new dishwasher is ideal for entertaining as you share an evening with your friends.”
The realtor wasn’t suggesting you spend the evening AT HOME. Just that you can pop your dishes in the dishwasher and go somewhere else where your friends can fit.
Chicken — I’ve been told (several times on here) never to look at prices in absolute amounts. You need to look at comps and use all of the methods of rationalization available to you. I think using that approach, you will discover that $3100 a month is a bargain! And you should be happy to live here.
(and I think it’s “only” about $2400 a month after the 15% or $52,000 downpayment.)
Some kid is frantically dialing Mom and Dad right now, to ask for help with this.
