Co-op of the Day: 125 Prospect Park West, #3B
We have no idea if this new listing at 125 Prospect Park West is priced right at $889,000, but it should attract a lot of attention for its prewar charm and views of the park alone. It’s listed as a two-bedroom but the fact that it has a formal dining makes it worth a lot…

It’s listed as a two-bedroom but the fact that it has a formal dining makes it worth a lot more. One red flag is the mention of renovated kitchen and bath but no photos. Very nice, but is the price right?

Dearest Sam,
Didn’t you vote yourself off the island? Why are you still here bloviating about how other people should live their lives?
This is an unusually weak listing for Corcoran. that’s gotta be one of the ugliest DIY paint jobs I’ve seen in a while. Usually I just say, well, the new owners are gonna repaint. But here I think i might have spent a few grand on some linen white for the walls. The white frame moldings make my eyes hurt.
snark, I was talking about normal children.
I suspect I would have happily doubled up in the dining room rather than growing up in the burbs.
there is a smaller 2 Bed in the same bldg priced at 749k and a 2bed in 135 next door for $849k…
also please stop having babies when you’re 15.
If you have more than 2 kids, and you’re middle class but not wealthy enough to afford a house or a three-bedroom apartment in the city (with TWO toilets) MOVE TO THE BURBS! Four-bedroom houses are plentiful there and they are affordable in most towns.
Don’t stuff your kids in the hallway or double them up in the dining room. That is just pathetic.
we need to start pulling a china and put 2 kid limits on families.
In most other places, except maybe Moscow in the old days, a family spending a huge amount of money on an apartment would naturally expect a certain amount of elegance and charm. In Brooklyn, it’s all about “turn the dining room into another bedroom so you can cram more kids in there and everybody can share one toilet”.
