Just down the block from the Mill Building, the new development at 100 North 3rd Street is now on the market, having attracted five buyers to date. Which leaves thirteen units unsold, according to the Corcoran website or, if DOB filings are to be believed, another 19 units. Most of the apartments have very high ceilings, sleeping mezzanines and super-modern stylings. Do you think that the $700 to $800 per square foot price range will be compelling enough to move the rest of the units?

Why buy here when you can buy a brownstone condo conversion in Park Slope!?!?!??!
I don’t think its ugly either, though it does have a bit of an Ikea thing happening. Stands out as something different and modern in the sea of modern sameness that we’re seeing up here.
Not so sure about the unit layouts though – take a look at the plans for Unit 5C (http://www.100n3.com/ – its all flash, so I can’t give a direct link). The apartment has a loft bedroom, a balcony and a private terrace. But it looks as though you have to go into the public hall to get to the private terrace.
i don’t think it’s ugly at all.
That building is fucking ugly along with the other condos.
Construction like this explains why Mill Building apartments cost so much.
inside=sweet.
outside=methadone clinic
price=WTF?
Looks too much like a factory (not the charming or industrial type, just bland) or Ikea store. Those windows on the front are way too small for the loft style units. The apartments facing the back do have larger windows. This place probably would fly a year ago but not now.
i like the apts. will sell eventually. the apts with mezzanines could probably see some mezz. build outs to increase the space.
i don’t see how the space itself is uncomfortable? open, light, fresh, clean – how is that uncomfortable? strange comment. get comfy furniture, no?
if you are interested, just offer less if you think it’s overpriced.
if you don’t like it, then of course, the price doesn’t even matter.
i’m going to go ahead and say these actually look kinda hot. not sure about the pricing though.
