When we first posted about 140 Degraw this summer, reader comments on the exterior design ranged from major fugly to very beautiful. Fugly-beautiful’s six units have now hit the market as the Tiffany D Condos, with prices starting at $565,000 for a 919-square-foot duplex studio with 1.5 baths and going up to $975,000 for a 1,255-square-foot duplex studio with a private backyard. The interiors are looking pretty airy and high-ceilinged, but you gotta wonder whether the slightly out-of-the-way/BQE-side location is going to be a major Achilles’ heel for this one.

You seriously think those houses look like crap? They’re just straightforward modest row houses. I don’t find them ugly at all.

I like it better than the brownstones next to it which should be torn down, they look like crap. Though the floor plan of this place looks bad.
It looks like a giant space robot squatted atop the neighboring structures and dropped a turd in between them.
don’t hate it, but could find siimilar condos with a much better location to food, shopping, transportation in williamsburg at the same sq. foor price or lower.

I think for a 100k savings people should be willing to live in this not so ugly place. Something is pricey only in comparison to other things, and I must agree with 2:55 there are no equivalnet prices to this in the area. Just look at the condo reno on union st on the other side of the bqe with prices over 1mm. What is really pricey?
If you look at website – the 2 bedroom floorthru layout is priced at $750k.
Yes, $750k is lot of money but I don’t think you will find a renovated floor thru on other side of BQE for under $850k.
