Condo of the Day: 101 Wyckoff Avenue

The price cut from $545,000 to $496,000 on this model unit at 101 Wyckoff may be of interest to some buyers, given the alleged size of 1,127 square feet and decent finishes. We haven’t been following the development too closely, but when Set Speed wrote about it for us last February, he reported that 26 out of 32 units were already spoken for. If that was really the case, seems strange that this one would be hitting the market right now. Anyone have an update on the building?

Set Speed Condo Report: 101 Wyckoff Lofts [Brownstoner]
LOL@ Jeremy…but in all seriousness… this block is FAR from being worth the asking price.
I saw this unit last month. It’s a loft, the “bedroom” is a dining room, and the “alcove” is the bedroom, though it cannot be closed off as there are no doors whatsoever. The kitchen is your basic IKEA stuff, but on the more expensive end of the line. Decent. But I’m closing soon on a brick house a few blocks away (closer to Williamsburg) with 8 bedrooms, three floors, and a gigantic backyard for 550. Why anyone would plunk down this kind of money to live across the street from a crappy supermarket and a taco stand is beyond me. But then people are spending upwards of a million to be called “faggot” every 200 feet by menacing gangs of black kids in Bed-Stuy, so who knows?
This is a crappy area. Price is still to high.
I am amused by the sleight of hand with the naming of the rooms. the room with no closets, but the building code required window, is the “bedroom” and the big room, with two closets and a private bath but no window, is an “alcove.” if you lived here, where would you put your bed?
Is this a studio?
