Condo of the Day: 60 Broadway, #PH1A
This new listing at The Gretsch in Williamsburg has celebrity party pad written all over it. (As Curbed pointed out last week, the neighboring penthouse is actually owned by Josh Hartnett.) (That, and the broker’s generous use of the ALL CAPS key in her description!) Pretty awesome. Asking price: $2,950,000.

Snark, some prefer an audience
I think it’s a private roofdeck. The floorplan says “Roof Terrace for unit PH-1A” and if you look at google satellite view (link below), you can see there are other sections of the roofdeck on the east side, as well as one floor up, that are probably the common spaces.

“i dont think i could EVER live in a penthouse, it’s so obnoxious sounding.”

Plus, you are broke.
> Wait — is it really a common roof deck? That changes everything.
Panties have returned to their upright, locked position.
The very idea that anyone would pay $3M to live in Williamsburg is extremely startling.
Yeah, hard to believe that’s not a private roof deck.
“2. Thirteen photos and only 3 of them are actual interior shots??? Really?” (ISNH)
Ditto.
“3. 2400 sq ft is great…when it’s not all taken up by bedrooms and toilets. I’d nix that bedroom and bath closest to the LKDR and increase my actual living space. LKDRs only work, in my humble opinion, where there is more space than is currently provided for it.” (ISNH)
Double ditto.
DH, my point exactly – ie very hard to believe such idiot thinking took place with the developer and then with the buyer
It doesn’t look private. The way it’s manicured and furnished looks like it’s done by the building for the building. And I couldn’t find anything on the ad that said it was private. If it was private, they would say so. They do say something about a wing, so maybe there’s a small section of private patio separating the penthouse from the rest of the shared roof deck.
