This new listing at the Mill Building in Williamsburg is gorgeous. The 2,295-square-foot loft has beautiful original floor and exposed wood beams as well as tastefully modern kitchen and bathrooms. Pretty much the perfect mix when it comes to a loft. The fourth-floor pad sold for $1,349,256 back in 2007 and is now asking $1,695,000. We bet they’ll get it.

  1. Couldn’t tell…is the roof deck common? Seems to be. I dunno…you’d have a hard time carving a third bedroom in the space, which I doubt is actually 2,200 sf. IMO they’ll be lucky to get 2007 price.

  2. One of the ONLY cool things about Williamsburg are the old converted warehouses, and here wine lover is saying that he prefers a building which looks like it would be equally at home in Tampa, Florida.

These buildings are what attracted people to the area in the first place. A travesty what the neighborhood has become that people like wine lover prefer the white, ugly boxes.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

  3. “i don’t see how this is better than the edge – lacks the high end amenities ”

    and has nutty common charges.

“and doesn’t the building still have renters from pre-conversion”

    so?

    “the edge has amazing light”

actually, the way the (taller) building is shaped, a lot of the units are in shadow (typically the smaller units) – sure the penthouse units are sick – but they’re also a million bucks more than this place.

“and is next to a park.”

hope those windows are soundproof, unless you feel like hearing indie rock all summer long while you’re trying to eat hummus for dinner.

  4. i don’t see how this is better than the edge – lacks the high end amenities and doesn’t the building still have renters from pre-conversion. it’s fine, but seriously, you can put floors and beams in anywhere. big deal. i have the same thing in my office.

the edge has amazing light and views and is next to a park.

    it’s a way better development.
