The obvious bummer about this one-bedroom condo at 110 Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn is the single, window-guarded window in the living room. And while the 16-foot ceilings do partially make up for that short-coming, the apartment’s just not as sweet, in our opinion, as the ones upstairs, despite having all the same (very nice) finishes. And with the asking price of $550,000, the seller’s also trying to get a 10 percent mark-up on what he paid in 2007, something we can’t really see a reason for given the current market.

  1. Leaves me cold. Kitchen and bath aren’t bad though. Agree with Nomi’s jail analogy and Snark’s call for some color.

antidope, I don’t know that area of Clinton Hill, and don’t remember 66 Clifton as HOTD, but looks like a really nice house at a good price.

  2. > if there were simply another window in the living room…

Exactly. A splash of paint and some art on the walls would liven the place up nicely, but the window shortage is an unfixable dealbreaker for me.

  3. “sometimes windows are overrated and just downright depressing anyway”

Oh, Rob .. . . only you would say this. You are special.

Yeah, gotta say, the jail analogy immediately came to mind. It’s really too bad because, despite the suction cup personality, it’d be a fine, if cool for my tastes, apartment if there were simply another window in the living room.

  4. I won’t comment on the price but these apartments are amazing. The kitchen and baths are ridiculously nice (if you like modern) and the ceilings are 16′. Location is a bit crappy though and 2nd floor looking onto the street – not so nice.
