After a couple of years of anemic sales, 189 Bridge Street went largely rental last year, but now it looks like there’s another push to sell some units. The priciest apartment currently on the market is a bi-level bachelor pad on the 13th floor. The one-bedroom has a private terrace with impressive views and lots of “luxury” finishes. Given that there’s less than 1,300 square feet of interior space, the asking price of $1,321,905 seems a little wacky. After all, it’s a far cry from Dumbo.

Bridgeview Tower Goes Rental [Brownstoner]
they found a restaurant to take some of the commercial space. loft conversion around the corner is coming along nice and demo has started on the hotel site at the next block over on flatbush. hopefully work will start again soon on the nassau condos next door and the flatiron one block over. lots of change coming to this spot. for those who question living near the bridge ramp and flatbush, developers build in way worse places in manhattan regularly.
What makes something a bachelor pad? Serious question.
I teach in the building right next door. You will not be able to use that terrace because of the noise of the trucks barreling up Flatbush onto the bridge. Every day I look at that building and wonder who would want to live there. Working there is bad enough….
the people who live in this building probably hightail it quickly back to manhattan (or the suburbs) and complain about how inconvenient brooklyn is…
SUCH an outrageous price. I would say $650,000 – and even that may be too high. The point of terrible locations is supposed to be that at least you get some sq footage for your dollar. Buildings like this make the insanity of our recent bubble all too clear…
The area is now called FLATTERY flatbush& tillary
Ooooh, the bathroom has one of those salad bowl sinks.
How 2007.

Ha ha Snark, I gotz me one of those but I renovated in 2006. Mine is pertier though. :o)
I know all hate this bldg….and the regular units I saw were tiny…But the studios were nice with wraparound balcony terrace and layout.
But, if ever get a view of the apt on top….a mcmansion in the sky with all this glass and open staircase, 360 degree views , must be a triplex, etc. Looks amazing after dark…I get a pretty good tho distant view from Manh. bridge walkway. I think the developer/owner has that.

Zen Garden. That is a good idea for this place Cause your brain will explode after you realize that you paid this much for this much crap. Better hit that garden and quick every night. OR count the cars going over the bridge, a very zen activity. Or just head to the McDonalds and eat a double cheese burger every night with fries and laugh at the thought that you could have bought at the ORO. Or worse still the TOREN. Now that would suck to be on Flatbush Ave. Who the f-ck buys this crap?
