When pitching the building to apartment hunters, an early brochure noted its location close to Prospect Park as well as amenities like sunken living rooms, dining areas, closets and electric kitchens. The six-story Art Deco building designed by architect Philip Birnbaum was completed in 1937.

The sunken living room in this unit has wood floors and a partial wall topped with display niches to separate a sleeping alcove. The wall stops short of the two exposures, allowing light and air into both spaces. While there isn’t a closet in the sleeping area there is a walk-in closet near the entry.

That entry opens into the aforementioned dining foyer with kitchen, dressing area and bath at the other end. The windowed kitchen got a renovation since it was last on the market in 2019 with a hex tile floor, white cabinets and tile backsplash. The stainless steel appliances include a dishwasher and an electric range. A closet across from the kitchen holds a wine fridge and pantry space according to the listing.

In the dressing area is the final closet as well as space to fit a small home office. The adjacent bath has brown tile on the walls and floors and a wood vanity.

Amenities in the 82-unit building include a doorman, live-in super, laundry, bike storage and private storage. Pets, sublets, pied-à-terres and guarantors are allowed. Maintenance for this apartment is $1,098 a month.

It last sold in 2019 for $455,000. Thomas Casey of Compass has the listing and it is priced at $549,000. What do you think?
