This three-bedroom duplex condo, at 200 16th Street in South Slope, has a distinctive design, with a double-height living room with a dramatic curved floor-to-ceiling window bank.

It’s in a 32-unit building designed by Karl Fischer, the Energizer Bunny of Brooklyn residential design; interiors are by Andres Escobar, whose projects include the Jade Hotel and Williamsburg’s Gretsch Building.

There are two bedrooms and two baths on the bottom floor; the master’s got a pair of closets, a balcony and an en suite bath with double sinks, a soaking tub and separate shower.

The third bedroom is upstairs; it’s got a wall of windows fronting onto a second balcony. No bathroom up here though.

The open-plan kitchen is small but attractive, with a wall of Calacatta Gold marble (countertops and backsplash as well) and wenge wood cabinets.

There’s central air and a washer-dryer hookup; the nine-year-old building has an exercise room and an indoor parking garage with available spaces. The location’s not what you’d call prime Park Slope, but the Prospect Avenue stop R train stop is not far afield.

Common charges are $887, taxes another $97, so that’s near a grand a month on top of the mortgage. Listed by Jackie Torren and Charlie Pigott of Corcoran, the unit’s asking $1.465 million, almost exactly $1,000 a square foot.

Sound ambitious for the far South Slope, or is it in the ballpark? How do you like the place?
