Petebklyn, flyers posted around the neighborhood suggest that the second floor rear will be used as outdoor space. I wonder how the building’s tenants will feel about that?
Is it possible the retail space was a “community space?” It seems some of the new condos commercial space is designated community spaces.
Butler, you think there is outdoor space for lower level? I would think they would just use the playground across the street.
the developer for this prop is chinese. I guess he is one that still controls/owns commercial space.
It’s a chain of daycares mostly in various Chinatowns throughout the city.
My kid went to Red Apple in Chinatown!
There is a small daycare center on Butler Street between Smith and Hoyt that has outside space. It can be noisy, like any daycare. I am concerned about the amount of noise the Baltic Tower outdoor space will generate. Also concerned about the response by management should a noise issue occur given the fact that the building owner was unresponsive to the neighborhood’s concerns about the size and scale of the tower in the first place.
becoming daycare city around here. Small place across from this, something on Warren and the playground on the block. I guess close enough to subway for easy dropoff/pickup.
