Development Watch: 349 Metropolitan Avenue [Brownstoner]
This building was finally sold to a new company who is taking steps to complete construction and right all wrongdoings. The Facade will be replaced and it will be offered as RENTALS in summer 2010.
was a buyer but got out thankfully. looks like the developer went bankrupt. the facade is literally falling off the building with pieces of ‘elegant jerusalem stone’ smashed on the sidewalk. i guess some other developer will have to come to the rescue on this one but it’s a train wreck. i don’t even feel safe walking in front of that building let alone living in it
ANY OTHER BUYERS OUT HERE???
ATTENTION buyers: get out!!! the developer is unable to finish this project –
Get your money ASAP – this project is dead, notice there is not even a web site running and when we approached the marketing agents they seem to indicate that they are not involved….
has anyone been inside? we gave a deposit on a unit and were promised a completion date of November 2008… well, now the building is still unfinished and no C of O in sight…
this development is a mess!!! if it was not for the level of the kitchen cabinetry we would not even try to call this luxury as advertised, the kitchen and the appliance package is why we purchased but now we think that is not even completed…
Clumsy, ugly building, windows that only sorta open, eight foot ceilings, motel-thick walls. Welcome, yuppies.
The layouts are so small to have two bathrooms in them. This is also the crane-falling building. On the plus side, it’s really close to Oslo!
From the listing:
“11211 is the new capital of excitement”
uhhh…ok.
