Saw this place today. I’m surprised how unfinished it seems, no appliances and very little shelving in the kitchen. Floorboards don’t make it all the way to walls in some cases, seems like they rushed this place. Finishing came off pretty shoddy, imo. Kinda disappointing.
Oh – and for around 1,000 square feet, one small closet is a bit of a joke.
They are no different than the old railroad tenements of yesteryear….
only with updated fixtures….
big deal.
Full disclosure: After 2 years of searching in Clinton Hill, we are happily in contract on a lower duplex unit.
Some of the others that are in contract in the building have been getting in touch with one another via the Lineage Greene blog we set up for our new neighbors: http://lineagegreene.blogspot.com/ and twitter: http://twitter.com/lineagegreene
As per our inspector, Joe Pasaturo of AVT – the building is very well built and the sponsor didn’t cut corners in construction, which he said was hard to find amongst the new construction units he’s visited.
Yes, we’re going to be paying more per month than if we had a property with rental income – but for the same price, we’re getting a brand new building in the area we love, 3 bedrooms, high ceilings, 1528 square feet and a 500 sq ft private backyard and roof access. I’ve lived in Clinton Hill for 10 years and am so excited to be able to stay nearby.
The units that are still available are wonderful and we really love the block. We really look forward to contributing to the community and can’t wait to meet the rest of our neighbors.
This is one of the better looking new developments, especially around there where there are some really shitty looking new constructions.
have to say, this development is very pleasant to the eye everytime I drive by it. a lot better than the other new construction nearby.
Not in that part of Bed-Stuy, which is fast becoming Clinton Hill to the real estate folks. Regardless, there are a lot more services (restaurants, markets, bars, etc.) popping up in that area than almost any other part of Bed-Stuy save maybe Stuyvesant Heights, where you definitely can’t get a whole house for that price.
well nice is a relative term. i dont mean a totally tricked out renovated house, but something liveable..
are you sure you really can’t find a nice house for 600K in bed stuy? that seems weird.

No, not a “nice” whole house.
610 K for 2 bedrooms? can’t you buy a really nice whole house for that much?
