Aptsandlofts.com just listed units at 190 President Street, a new “boutique” rental building in Carroll Gardens. There are four floor-though units with three, four and five bedrooms. Square footage ranges from 1,250 to 2,200. According to the press release, units feature central air, north and south exposures, stainless steel GE appliances in the kitchens, soaking tubs and glass enclosed stand-up showers. Aptsandlofts.com currently has three of them listed — a four-bedroom for $9,500 a month, a three-bedroom asking $6,200 a month, and another three-bedroom asking $6,400 a month. The fourth unit, the five-bedroom, will be listed in the next few days. There’s an open house this Saturday, from 2 pm to 3 pm. GMAP

  1. When moving to Brooklyn from MASS I was surprised when a broker told me about this upcoming building. Fortunately it was not ready for a viewing when I was on the market. Surprised to see rents at this peak, as a financial analyst these rents are pretty hard to afford for the average working couple and I would’ve loved to see loads of amenities or at least an en suite bedroom. Quite expensive for lack of light and extras. In a time pressured situation ( we were only in town for two days) I rented in the area at Wyckoff street which compliments the asking rent since I have a penthouse feel and some bragging rights, I don’t feel so bad now missing out on this President street property. I rented directly from the listing office aptsandlofts and they had direct contact with the owner helping me negotiate my move in date, ultimately happy with my decision and broker. Good luck on apartment hunts in this area. Not as easy as anticipated to find a rental in this high demand area.
