Dittoburg – “There is a great house on Banker though, the one in the corner. An old mansion.” I think you mean the house on the curve of Guernsey St. into Oak St, not Banker.
That part of Guernsey is NOT landmarked. It is a block away from McCarren Park and very close to the subway. I remember seeing pics of the inside…nothing special in my opinion…so 920 seems high for the property. Plus, rents in the Greenpoint are stagnant (at best) and coming down a bit. But the seller and broker are happy!
since when is 3000 sqft tiny?
no one would ever say a 3000 sqft condo was tiny, it would be HUGE.

I’m kind of shocked by that Greenpoint house. It’s not in the historic district but the location is good though. On the border of Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
From the outside it looks like it needs work too, but who knows what the inside looks like. If you lived in the 1st floor you could probably collect 4500 for the 2nd and 3rd floor combined. I guess you’re mortgage wouldn’t be that much higher then that based on however much you put down.
Bay Ridge coop looks like a bad link. It’s going to a Midwood property.
you rule Pete
Concerning 585K at the CH coops, I think that would have set a record. I don’t think I’ve seen anything else there offered over $525K. There was a 2 bedroom at 360 that was going for 575 or almost 600K in 2008, but that was in a smaller building and had more pre-war charm. maybe the sellers made an incorrect comparison.
I agree wasder. I watched the asking on this price keep falling — if they hadn’t been so aggressive with their initial ask I bet the sellers would have done a lot better.
Wish the pics for Clinton Hill were larger – looks like a creative and well done remodel.
