Here witnesseth on this Sunday of November open houses for three neo-Colonials plus a Neo-Grec, all spacious townhouses. Ranging in price from $1.75 to $2.2 million, they span the early 20th century Brooklyn suburbs of Midwood Park and Beverly Square West in Flatbush, with others hailing from Bay Ridge and Bed Stuy.

A corner Colonial Revival on grassy-planted 17th Street in Midwood Park was designed by Benjamin Driesler and there’s one more standalone neo-Colonial in Beverly Square West. Also we call your attention to an unusual tier-fronted two-family in Bay Ridge with post-war neo-Colonial touches inside and out. In Bed Stuy is an Amzi Hill-designed Neo-Grec brick row house with mantels and modern updates.

Let’s start with 684 East 17th Street in Midwood Park. A Colonial Revival standalone house built by John R. Corbin Co. circa 1906 and designed by prominent Brooklyn architect Benjamin Driesler, it has been preserved and updated in an appealing fashion. It’s located in the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District and stands on landscaped corner lot at Irvington Place. The interior has bordered hardwood floors, decorative molding, built-in bookcases topped by arches in the living room, and a stairway lit by stained glass windows. The updated kitchen has a mid-century industrial flair, with what look like aluminum cabinets and counters, and stainless steel appliances. The pictured bathroom is also modernized with stone floors and borders around white tiles that have a similar retro-modern feel. In back are a deck and a two-car garage. With five bedrooms brightened by wallpaper and lush colors, two bathrooms and two half-baths, it’s listed for $2.2 million.

At 151 86th Street in Bay Ridge, an unusual neo-Colonial home mixes 20th century modernism with neo-Colonial details. It is set up as a duplex beneath an upper-level rental. It features a ground-level two-car garage and a front tiered with lush planters and stairs up to a front porch, the facade covered with stone and masonry. There’s a landscaped patio and garden in back and a terrace on the rear upper level. Inside, a fireplace in the living room has a stone surround resembling the facade and a curving multi-paned bay window. The kitchen is decorated in a country-home style with floral wallpaper and flower-bedecked flooring; a bathroom pictured has a teal green sink and bathtub along with floral tiles and matching wallpaper. In the basement are a laundry room, rec room, two offices, and a den. It’s also offered for $2.2 million.

Then, a large circa 1900 standalone house at 251 Westminster Road in Beverly Square West features a front porch, two-car garage and driveway, and a deck in the backyard. Some Arts and Craft details are present on the inside, such as the staircase and a built-in shelf on the landing. There are traces of original woodwork like wainscoting in the dining room, moldings, and hardwood floors with dark borders. The upper floors include six bedrooms, including three within the pitched roof cut with skylights. It’s asking $2.1 million.

Last, the outlier this week is a three-story Neo-Grec brick townhouse designed by Amzi Hill. The address is 582a Monroe Street in Bed Stuy, and it’s configured as a duplex over a garden-level rental with access to a finished basement. It contains incised mantels, a kitchen and bathroom renovated in a modern style, hardwood floors, and rooms with wainscoting and picture rails. The duplex has three bedrooms on the top floor, and a flexible den/bedroom next to an open kitchen/living/dining room on the parlor floor. It’s priced at $1.745 million.
