Our Open House Picks from six months ago offer plenty of interesting detail and a variety of conditions. They span the neighborhoods Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Bed Stuy and Crown Heights.

On Bergen Street in Boerum Hill we’ve got a big one — four stories and 25 feet wide. With no stoop and a single entrance it’s set up with four units, one on each floor, so any owner-occupant has some refiguring to do. The property sold for $3.25 million in March, $450,000 below its $3.7 million ask.

Heading south to Clinton Street in Carroll Gardens is a three-story one-family with nice potential. Details include marble mantels, inlaid floors, tin ceilings and wall moldings, but it needs at least some cosmetic upgrading, nowhere more than on the facade, which is decked out in Permastone. The home sold for $2.099 million in February, $100,000 under its $2.199 million ask.

On MacDonough Street in Bed Stuy is a brownstone with an owner’s triplex — which appears to include a finished basement — and a pair of rentals sharing the top floor. It looks to be in good condition, and there are some nice details on this one, including mantels and carved woodwork in the entryway. The property sold for $1.875 million in May, $15,000 under its $1.89 million ask.

Last, on Park Place in Crown Heights is a three-level home with the basement at the garden level and two floors above, each comprising a separate unit. Recently renovated, with at least one new kitchen and bathroom, it retains some original detail — though not the original floors, sadly. The property sold for $1.2 million in March, $100,000 over its $1.1 million ask.
