This weekend’s open house picks include a pair of Italianate wood frames in Bed Stuy, one being marketed as a teardown. They all have original details, with the others in Flatbush and Windsor Terrace.

The home in Windsor Terrace is a good place to start. A three-family brick townhouse, there are historic details in the way of tin ceilings, plaster crown and picture frame moldings and a carved newel post. Each floor contains a dining room, kitchen, living area and, respectively, three, two, and one bedroom, moving from the top floor down.

Next, an Italianate wood frame in Bed Stuy that is being marketed as a teardown, although its interior, while in need of work, is quite charming. There are elaborate tin ceilings and some plaster wall moldings in the way of historic details, and an oddly customized decorative mantel as well as a many-shelved built-in storage space in one of the bedrooms. There’s a new water tank and roof, according to the listing.

Sticking around in Bed Stuy, another Italianate wood frame. This one, a two-family, three-story with curb appeal, is currently configured as a lower duplex beneath a two-bedroom rental. Historic notes include floral lintels, arched front doors, original plank floors, mahogany rails, pocket doors, a pier mirror and (according to the listing) four wood-burning marble fireplaces. The baths and kitchens are updated, and the garden has a pergola and guest cottage with upstairs patio.

Last up, a recently renovated, early 20th century single-family brick townhouse in Flatbush that’s a corner property with a detached one-car backyard garage. There are coffered ceilings, a gas fireplace, limited plaster wall moldings and baseboards and a first-floor nook in the way of historic notes. The listing says there are all new kitchen appliances.
