This 19th-century Italianate brick townhouse in looks to be in fine shape and offers a good deal of space in a prime Cobble Hill location, with a width of 25 feet. At 364 Clinton Street in the Cobble Hill Historic District, and dating to 1872 according to the listing, it has an apartment on each floor and thus seems best suited as an investment property, but of course there are others ways an enterprising buyer could go with it.
That could include building on to it, as the listing, which is heavy on aerial shots, wants you to know; it notes that the “property can be expanded by 13-15 feet in length.”
As it stands, it’s 40 feet deep, and going by what’s pictured it’s in good repair. The apartments are large, with each offering a large front bedroom, a large living room, a kitchen and bath housed in a rear extension, and varying combinations of half-bedrooms/offices.

There’s wood flooring, which doesn’t look original, crown moldings, hand-formed plaster medallions and arched doorways. The one kitchen pictured looks recently and attractively renovated, with subway tile and stone counters; we can’t speak for the others, or the bathrooms, or for any other surprises that may await beyond the camera’s view.
There’s a rear patio and a backyard, which the lowermost tenant has the run of. Listed by Dave Ratner and Liz Maddalone of Warren Lewis/Sotheby’s, the house is asking $4.595 million. What do you think of the house, and the ask?
