You can leave your contractor and your architect at home if you’re hitting our open house picks this weekend: there are no fixer-uppers in the bunch. At least three of them are newly renovated; the fourth we’re not sure about, but either way it doesn’t appear to need anything. They’re found in Clinton Hill, Bed Stuy, Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

First up, a narrow brownstone on Washington Avenue in Clinton Hill that’s split into double duplexes with separate mechanicals. The photographic evidence is limited, but what’s there looks to be in fine shape, perhaps newly renovated though it’s not clear. There are five original marble fireplaces; the listing also cites “extra-wide plank floors” but they don’t appear to be original. The lower duplex has a garden paved with bluestone, the upper one has a roof deck with skyline views. The facade is newly redone, and bathrooms are alleged to be “beautiful and luxurious.”

On Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, we’ve got a flip — a three-story townhouse that’s newly gut renovated. It’s done up in a thoroughly modern style, with recessed lighting, flat-fronted gas fireplaces, pickled white-oak flooring, marble bathrooms and glossy white cabinetry in the kitchens. There’s an owner’s upper duplex with three bedrooms and a rental on the garden level with two small bedrooms; there’s also a finished rec room in the basement, which can be accessed from the duplex. The house has a video monitoring system and a “high tech WiFi audio system.”

The next one’s another flip (whose listing makes the odd boast that “the owners have taken such care and pride in maintaining” a house that was bought a year ago and gut renovated). This one’s a semi-detached brownstone in Bed Stuy designed by well-known Victorian architect Amzi Hill. It dates back to 1885, and retains some original details, including ceiling medallions, stone mantels, pocket shutters, banisters, newel post and a hallway pier mirror. They’re combined with modern kitchens and baths, including one with striped tile slabs that should be approached with caution by those prone to vertigo. It’s a two-family with a two-bedroom duplex, a two-bedroom rental and a finished basement. There’s zoned heating and a/c, a touch screen video intercom system with interfaces for cable, Internet and HDMI, and a four-zone camera/DVR system.

Sold three times in the last three years, this Prospect Lefferts Gardens house is an interesting one, at least when viewed from the outside. It’s a detached single-family frame house wedged in between a pair of brick buildings on Midwood Street. There’s less character within, where it’s recently renovated, though there’s a nice kitchen with a farmhouse vibe, with black slate floors, a farmhouse sink and glass doors leading to the backyard. There’s no floor plan, but it’s said to have three bedrooms and two baths, and a finished basement with a laundry room. The floors are wide-plank Douglas fir imported from Denmark — not sure where they came up with this number, but the listing claims it’s “one of only five houses in the city to display a floor like this, typically seen in art galleries.”
