This week we’re looking back at four listings we featured six months ago to see how they fared. All of the homes sold — two for over ask.
This previous Co-op of the Day at 25 Joralemon Street, housed in a former pumping station, offers a sweeping, loft-like living space, with a double-height ceiling in the front. Exposed steel girders, an open staircase leading to a loft and a pair of arched windows add some visual flair. There’s a working fireplace as well.
The unit sold for $2.115 million in June, $120,000 over its $1.995 million ask.
This four-story Italianate brownstone at 163 Dekalb Avenue — previously a House of the Day — boasts all sorts of elegant period details and sits on a prime block directly across from Fort Greene Park. Wedding-cake plaster decorations, eight working marble fireplaces, and original pocket doors with etched glass are some of the goodies inside.
The home sold for $3.4 million in May, $450,000 under its $3.85 million ask.
This spacious one-bedroom condominium (once a Listing of the Day) at 892 Bergen Street in Crown Heights has an open layout with oversized windows — floor to ceiling in the bedroom — that make the apartment welcoming and sunny. The kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, including a built-in microwave and a dishwasher. The sink peninsula adds extra counter space, and there is room for a dining table.
The apartment sold for $730,000 in June, $32,000 over its $698,000 ask.
On Marlborough Road in Prospect Park South we’ve got a beautifully renovated three-story Victorian, featured as an Open House Pick. “You will not find many homes in Brooklyn more generous in size,” reads the listing, and that seems a fair estimation. It’s got five bedrooms, 3.5 baths, six walk-in closets, 44 windows and a two-car garage. Also upgraded plumbing and electric, zoned A/C and heat, and a new security system. An extra-appealing kitchen, a lovely sun room — a lot to like here.
The property sold for $2.6625 million in July, $162,500 under its $2.825 million ask.
