As we inch closer toward the new year, another look at four of our featured listings from six months ago. This week, we have homes in Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights.
First, this charming, three-story Greek Revival in Boerum Hill has a number of well maintained original details and a nice renovation. Located at 238 Wyckoff Street, it’s configured as a two-family, with a garden studio beneath an upper duplex. This former House of the Day entered contract in December.
Next, in the Fort Greene Historic District, directly across the street from the neighborhood’s eponymous park, this two-bedroom co-op is quite compact but priced accordingly. Located on the parlor floor of a five-unit Neo-Grec brownstone, it’s been nicely renovated with original details despite its size. This former Co-op of the Day sold in September for $1.25 million, which was $255,000 above the asking price.
Then, on a historic Park Slope block, this single-family brick home is lovely but in need of some love. The compact three-story house has a number of original details and has had the same owner since 1984, but it’s in estate condition and needs work — possibly in the $500,000 range. This former House of the Day entered contract in December.
Finally, a grand five-story brownstone in Brooklyn Heights that could use an update but boasts a number of original details, including stained glass windows, crown moldings and seven fireplace mantels. The single-family has a curving center stair with a dark wood banister, chandeliers and original shutters. This former Open House Pick is still available for the reduced price of $6.5 million.
