Renovated Gowanus Townhouse With Four Bedrooms, Central AC, Yard Asks $6,750 a Month
Here’s an entire townhouse for rent, with three floors recently and nicely renovated.

Here’s an entire Gowanus townhouse for rent, with four bedrooms and three floors. A semi-detached number with a flat, aluminum-sided facade, it’s at 176 12th Street, between 3rd and 4th avenues.
The whole place was recently and nicely renovated, though not a flip. It was sold in 2012 to someone who did a full renovation, then sold again in 2015 to a buyer who’s now putting it up for rent.
The triplex has a pairs of bedrooms on the bottom and top floors, with an open-plan kitchen and living room in between. The living space has an open staircase, a wall of exposed brick, wood floors and a wall of sliding glass doors leading out to a deck.
The kitchen’s got marble countertops, an island with a stovetop Wolf range, white-lacquered cabinetry and a farmhouse sink.

The bedrooms are amply sized and the upper ones both have en suite baths. There’s a lot of closet space, and a closeted, stacked washer/dryer on the top floor.
There’s zoned heating and a/c; plumbing, electrical and mechanicals are new, which means less to a renter than a buyer, but that’s the deal.
The F, G and R trains are all close at hand; claims that Prospect Park is “a few short blocks away” are exaggerated however.
Listed by Betsy Hoffman, Barbara Wilding and Jillian Woods of Brennan Realty, the house is renting for $6,750 a month. Think it’s worth it?
