This three-bedroom is grander than your average rental. Housed on the first floor of a circa 1890s Romanesque Revival building in the Crown Heights North Historic District, it’s got some choice period details, including inlaid parquet floors, mirrors, three mantels, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, stained glass, built-in china cabinets and pocket doors.
It looks quite expansive as well, though with no floor plan there’s no way to know which of the stately, high-ceilinged living spaces are being counted as bedrooms. There’s only one floor, so presumably at least some of them are.
There’s also no way to know just how functional the layout is with a three-bedroom setup, and what rooms need to be walked through to arrive where. It appears that access to the rear deck leads through a back bedroom — one that’s decidedly less opulent than the other pictured spaces. (Speaking of the deck, it’d be nice if they’d paint the rusted door and window gates back there, which are something of an eyesore.)

So, there are some blanks to fill in here (closet space?), but it’s a sweet looking spot that’ll work for someone. The windowed kitchen is renovated and offers plenty of cabinet and counter space, if not room for a table.
There’s a single bath, with a clawfoot tub, and a washer and dryer in the unit.
Listed by Lindsay Morgan of Bohemia Realty Group, the unit carries no broker fee with a two-year lease. The rent: $3,500 a month. Any takers?
