100 Willoughby1

Listings for the Ava DoBro at 100 Willoughby Street in downtown Brooklyn went up late last week and its leasing office and a model unit open today. The still-under-construction high-rise tower — soon to be the tallest in Brooklyn at 575 feet — is offering studio apartments, one, two and three bedroom units.

Studios start at $2,890 for a 534 square foot unit. One bedroom units start at $3,300, two bedrooms at $4,185 and three bedrooms $5,625. Occupancy will start August 14, according to the development’s website.

The development is the second of three related buildings from developer Avalon Bay. The first, a rental building named Avalon Willoughby, opened at 343 Gold Street several years ago.  The second building, formerly known as Avalon Willoughby West, was renamed Ava DoBro in March. The third, not yet built, is called Avalon Willoughby Square, and will be located at 214 Duffield Street.

Ava DoBro, which will have 861 apartments when complete, has a long list of amenities, including a fitness center, indoor and outdoor lounges on the 58th floor, an outdoor terrace with a lounge, fire pit and barbeques on the 30th floor, heated indoor and outdoor pet runs, and 24-hour concierge service. All of the available units are on the sixth floor or below. Presumably construction will be continuing on the upper floors of the building after tenants begin moving in on August 14. When we last checked in on 100 Willoughby in January, the building had only reached 35 stories and windows were just going in on the lower floors.

The leasing office, which includes a model unit, will be located at the first Avalon building, Avalon Willoughby, at 343 Gold Street.
