6ready.jpgAt Borough Hall until 7 PM this evening, volunteers will be handing out “Ready New York” brochures, which offer advice on dealing with terrorist attacks and natural disasters. The booklets recommend packing an emergency “Go Bag” with bottled water, non-perishable food, a flashlight, a battery-operated AM/FM radio, extra batteries, prescription medications, a first-aid kit, a map, and child care supplies. If disasters tend to drive you to drink, we also recommend packing bottle of your favorite whiskey. The brochures is also available as a PDF at the Office of Emergency Management Website.
