edge-affordable-0210.jpgAlong with a pretty picture gallery showing the just-about-completed construction at The Edge in Williamsburg (which got FHA approval at the end of last year), Curbed reports that there some grousing among the ranks of the lucky renters who won the lottery last year for a below-market-rate apartment in the upscale waterfront complex. Seems that they were under the impression that they could move in last month. Not the case, says Edge management, March was always the plan, though they’d thought there was a chance of moving the subsidized renters in early. The hold-up? Seems DOB hasn’t coughed up to C of O yet.

  5. To xxxluverxx, the $500 is only a deposit just in case in the process of moving, the building gets damage. They do not deposit check/money order, it is held in your file until you are fully move into the unit. Also you must set a time with management when you would be moving your belongings. Hope the information is helpful.

  6. Congrats CJG12715! I’m really happy for you after such a long wait. You were one of the very first to go through the process and its finally over. I didn’t sign my lease or leave the deposit/1st month’s rent yet, but when I called a few weeks ago to follow up with the actual move in date they mentioned that they wanted $500 on the day of moving in just in case damages are made that day. Did they request this amount from you? Please update us on any new breaking info =) I really appreciate it and good luck with the move!
