Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel and her Mad Men husband Vincent Kartheiser, who met on the set of Mad Men, have sold their penthouse duplex at the Montague in Brooklyn Heights.
The heavily accessorized apartment at 105 Montague Street was listed for $1.56 million in 2015, and has now been sold by Compass for a reduced price of $1.32 million.
The one-bed, two-bath co-op unit includes motorized shades, a private roof deck, 500-square-foot outdoor space, soaking tub, chef’s kitchen, 18-foot ceilings, and bespoke light fixtures, according to the Post.
The building has previously been featured on Brownstoner as both a Co-op of the Day and a Building of the Day.
Completed in 1886, the eight-story Queen Anne structure was built by the Parfitt Brothers, some of the borough’s best architects, and is landmarked. Notable details on the structure’s facade include its fine terra-cotta ornaments and floral bands. In 1900, Brooklyn Heights Developer Louis Horowitz bought the Montague and converted it into a residential hotel.
