If you’re a real estate geek like us, you’ll get a kick out of the latest interactive map from the gurus over at Property Shark. They’ve plotted all of the sales in Brooklyn last year that topped $1 million in one handy place. Not surprisingly, many of them are clustered in the ritzier parts of Brownstone Brooklyn and along the Ocean Parkway corridor leading down towards Coney Island. Fun! Update: The map only includes single family homes, condo units, and coop units, so two-families and other types are missing.
Anyone buying condos for half amillion dollars in Brooklyn and still saying they got a bargin? Shaftted is the new meaning for bargin
I thought the peninsula part of Mill Basin, where the really expensive houses are, was called Mill Island.
infinitejester, that’s showing Mill Basin, not Old Mill Basin. There’s a big difference.
The coop I bought isn’t shown either.

Still doesn’t make sense. Here are two apartments that sold for over $1M in 2009 from my small list of saved properties on StreetEasy. Neither is listed:

I bought a $1M+ coop last year that’s not shown on this map either. Looks like it’s definitely missing sales.
Hey Gowanusgus, was there another single family house on your block that sold this year for $1.075 mil. that isn’t showing up either?
wow – that is 3 on gus’s block alone.
there is another single family house on my block that sold this year for $1.075 mil. that isn’t showing up either – think there are more data problems.
