The 2-bedroom price mentioned in the article is a little misleading. That’s for the top floor. Mid to lower level 2 bedrooms (all about 1000 sq ft) are closer to low $400K. I’m also a tenant and am very happy with the building and especially the neighborhood. There are so many new shops and restaurants opening or remodeling that it’s difficult to keep up. The ILoveFranklinAve blog is a great place to keep up with the goings on in the neighborhood: http://ilovefranklinave.blogspot.com/
I live at 892 Bergen Street and find the neighborhood is quickly becoming very friendly and livable with many new needed retail stores sprouting up in and around the area!
The views from both my BR and LR are outstanding–tall trees and there’s even a community garden out back with tenant storage in the basement. Elevator too..
The new Compare Foods supermarket complete with bakery and fresh seafood dept. just opened up around the corner from this place on St. Marks. 20 minute walk to prospect park farmer’s market, Botanic garden, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn public library and a few blocks from Franklin Park Bar, Dutch Burger, and the new Chavella’s opening up on Franklin Ave. If they are still throwing in a free parking space I’m in.
