I live near Bedford, and frequently walk to or from the Q on 7th Ave. It adds a few minutes to the commute, but is a very nice 20 min walk at the end of the day.
would you say this building is in that ProCro sub-neighborhood I keep hearing so much about?
I think 15 minutes is pretty accurate, rashomon. It’s a hike though doable. If you’re going to the Union Square area, Google says you’re better off doing the C at Franklin and changing at Fulton Street, which seems right to me… Times Square/west side, C train all the way is probably your best bet.
If I lived in this vicinity, would it be realistic to hoof it to the 7th Ave B/Q? Google Maps sez 15 minutes…
Although this rapid success must be flabergasting to the gaggle of commenters on the last post on this subject, it is no surprise to those of us who live in the neighborhood. This area has a lot going for it, including: Proximity to the Park, BBG and the Museum, the Franklin Ave shuttle, great architecture. It is still under-populated, but that is changing fast.
