660bergen.jpgAfter a sneak preview last weekend, one unit at 660 Bergen Street (between Vanderbilt and Underhill) has been sold, and the rest are now officially on the market. Streeteasy shows 22 units, from $459,000 to $859,000, in the Karl Fischer-designed building. Potentially cool details include radiant heat flooring, outdoor spaces and built-in iPod docks. Stroller moms and dads might not be the target audience: All the units are one- and one-plus bedrooms (but fairly spacious ones, and even duplexes). Anybody been looking here?

  1. Isaac Frischman is the developer on this as well as The Washington at 35 Underhill…

Interested in buying here but scared of a repeat of the problems at The Washington…decent price but do you think the units can be negotiated down further given the market?

  2. yay! That one unit that’s been sold is ours! We actually went into contract a few weeks ago. The place is way nicer than anything we’ve seen in new construction. While we were walking through we saw them hand staining/pickling all the wood for the kitchen cabinets piece by piece. The cabinets are 14″ deep –which is, as we were told by a real estate agent friend of ours, larger than the latest norm of 12″ which doesn’t fit plates.
We got a huge outside garden (for the money) and a keyed elevator that opens into the apartment. They used really great materials in kitchens and bathrooms.
Yeah. The agent is cute about the ipod docks. He loves them! I want to have it converted to an RCA (its connected to the surround sound that’s in the ceiling)
I swear I have nothing to do with the builder or the RE agent. Im just super excited because Ive rented in this neighborhood for years and thought it would now be far to expansive to buy here.

  3. I’ll be looking at this this Sunday.

My only gripe is that there’s a warehouse next to it. ~$550 seems pretty good for Prospet Heights?

In reference to yesterdays topic on the subway, I am looking at this property because of it’s proximity to the train; it’s one of the factors anyway.
