  1. “This place is ridonculous! $1800 for a wee studio?! Are you effing kidding me?”

Well – considering dumpy “1 bedroom” railroad apts with the same square footage go for 2,100+ around here, and the other big rental building in the nabe is charging (and getting) 2,250+ for smaller studios – seems pretty reasonable (even though they are all unreasonable)

  2. 1800 dollars a month is definitely absurd for a studio.. but you have to remember most of the people who will be renting here definitely have at least 1/2 their rent subsidized by their parents. but yeah it’s most definitely a luxury dorm.

    *rob*

  3. “You would have thought they could combine 2 studios and have of given them a 1 bedroom, but i guess the builder would get more money from a studio…..”

Hmmm – yeah that makes NO sense

    2 studios = 1750 x 2 = 3500
    1 1 bedroom = 2700

    3500 – 2700 = 800 bucks extra per month

  4. There are 13 studio apartments on each floor. How many studio apartments does a building need?? It looks like a dorm.

I could never imagine renting a studio for anything above 700.
