  1. When giving money to nonprofits, check to see how much is actually being used for the cause. Many nonprofits are in the business of keeping themselves extent.

    There was a photo a while ago of a DUMBO street – I haven’t been to DUMBO for a while and I marveled at how many businesses were in the shot, businesses I don’t remember being there. DUMBO rocks!
