PS 133 Rising on 46th Street in Sunnyside

The School Construction Authority broke ground in February on a new K-5 public school at 45-46 42nd Street in Sunnyside. The new school, to be called PS 313, will cost more than $57 million and house about 430 students in 20 classrooms. According to a sign posted on the construction fence, the project is supposed to be finished by Thanksgiving 2014, though recent reports put the opening date at September 2014.
