Food cart Jackson heights

Try Indian samosas, Tibetan dumplings, Mexican carnitas, and Uruguayan alfajors, to name some of the fiercely flavored fare you can try this Saturday on a walking tour of Jackson Heights food carts.

It’s just a “quick subway ride from the glitz of Manhattan,” says Huff Post, into the “bustling thoroughfare of Roosevelt Avenue [for] a gritty mix of Indian groceries, South American travel agencies and immigration lawyers’ offices under a lacelike canopy of elevated train tracks.”

The 3-hour “Eat the Street” tour leaves from Grand Central Station at 11:30 am on Saturday morning. Buy tickets for $79 on the website. See our event listing for details.
