Out in the edge of LIC, on the Newtown Creek border between Queens and Brooklyn, lies Storage Post (GMAP), a self-storage building that just got a nice renovation. PR Newswire reports that the upgrades “have positioned the store as an inviting retail space.” Some of the changes are:

“Every storage unit now provides climate-control for temperature-sensitive items and two elevators are being installed for easier loading and unloading. Also, remodeled restrooms and loading bays, and a renovated front office with bright signage and merchandise displays, will complement the location’s deluxe amenities.”

They painted the outside with green and yellow accents to reflect their color branding. They even have a free shuttle for their customers.

“Storage Post offers a free customer storage shuttle van that picks up customers to bring them to their storage unit. Once you’ve visited your unit and it’s time to return to the train station, the storage shuttle will take you there, too.”

This is a real bonus.

The improvements are expected to raise the building visibility, capitalizing on its location just off the LIE and proximity to Manhattan.
