A very special show coming to LIC Bar, returning the favor to The Who

Remember we told you that the QNYC article British rock band The Who gifts LIC Bar with new sound system was our top read post for January 2013? Indeed, it is a very, very cool story – and we have a follow up from LIC Bar’s booking agent Gustavo Rodriguez (who was recently featured in It’s Queens magazine), as their their way of saying thank you and giving back to The Who. Check it:

We have just officially announced a very special show. Sat Feb 23rd where we will be returning the favor to The Who by throwing a fundraiser for the band’s favorite charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust. We will have entertainment by the ultimate Who tribute band “Who’s Next” plus special surprise guests.

We will have many amazing prizes to raffle off including A HAND SIGNED GIBSON SG GUITAR SIGNED BY PETE TOWNSHEND HIMSELF!

Local officials such as Jimmy Van Bramer plan to be in attendance. Gibson Guitars, Universal Music, Brooklyn Brewery, Heineken and many other sponsors are on board.

Tix are $20 and available on the homepage of LIC Bar. 100% of net Proceeds go the charity.

We think this is pretty fantastic, and bravo to LIC Bar for their efforts in giving back!
