The building at 852 Cypress Avenue, with busy patterns and two staircases in the lobby, is the former home to the Ridgewood Times newspaper; it was then a school before being turned into condos in 2009. It’s a short walk from the L and M trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff, making it easily accessible to Williamsburg, Bushwick and Manhattan.
What you see may not be what you get: the listing notes that the unit is under construction and some of the photos are from a different unit, but doesn’t specify which. The apartment is available for rent October 1 and there’s an open house from 2-3:30 p.m. on August 22.

That block is still dingy although improving. Ridgewood is still “up and coming” and definitely not “there” yet but if you dont mind walking 10 or so blocks down Wycoff you can find a decent supermarket.
Its a trade off. I would take it in a heartbeat but my girlfriend would nix it even faster.
