Here’s a classic six in Jackson Heights listed for sale by owner that appears to be in perfect condition. It even has built-in bookcases. Hawthorne Court was built in 1922 and designed by architect George Wells. The apartment has a fireplace, a sunroom that can work as a third bedroom or office, lots of closets, a formal dining room, and overlooks a shared private garden. The two bathrooms appear to be in excellent original condition, the kitchen has been renovated, and the electrical has been updated. The maintenance is $995. Do you think they will get their price of $690,000?
35-20 77th Street, #41 [FSBO] GMAP P*Shark
Great place and they forgot to mention one of my favorite features of Hawthorne Court – the elevator opens up right into the apartment. Jackson Heights remains a great deal compared to the rest of the city, this one won’t last long…
This reminds me of a gorgeously renovated 2 br/1 ba FSBO in Jackson Heights from 2009: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/fsbo-jackson-heights-two-bedro-78259
It sold for 510,000 in July 2009.
The one listed here is also really well-renovated and it has 3 br/2 ba…I don’t think 690k is a crazy ask at all.
Can we get a more varied look at the housing stock in Queens?
These JH places are the apts people want to buy, so I’m not surprised they’re featuring them a lot.
Oh no, I get that. But maybe show other options that some people might not even know about. Show another side of what living in Queens can be like.
Nice property. Layout, condition, location, light. I would be surprised if this didn’t go pretty quickly.
