Cevicheria El Rey's maduros look fabulous

We know that Chopsticks + Marrow’s author Joe DiStefano raves about the leche de pantera at Elmhurst’s Cevicheria El Rey, and we are big fans of the simple spicy fish ceviche (love those little corn nuts that come on the plate, too), and now Serious Eats proclaims their love of the sweet, caramelized maduros (sweet plantain) at the restaurant. Maduros are wonderful things, and very commonly found in the neighborhood – so when they are good, they are really good.

Looks like they also tried the leche de pantera, too, and found the maduros to be a nice foil to that crazy dish.
