So, you may not know it, but Woodhaven is basically Queens’ best kept secret. Oops. This apartment located one block away from Forest Park (another amazing secret) is a beautiful looking 1 bedroom for $1250. It has hardwood floors and security cameras, just in case you feel afraid to live in Queens. So, why is Woodhaven so awesome? If you look at a subway map, you can luxuriously take the train to Brooklyn from Queens, amazing! However this post states that there is lots of street parking in the area, so maybe you can just get a car and drive to Trader Joe’s which is pretty nearby.
actually you’re kind of right about woodhaven/ jamaica. the prices are ridiculous; you can buy a nice victorian or colonial house for $1500 a month.
