Call it a duet. This Saturday, Musica Reginae Productions will present the VENTI Wind Quartet at the Church-in-the-Gardens. This group will explore combinations of wind instruments with accompaniment by well-regarded pianist Barbara Podgurski. The focus will be on 20th century chamber music, especially compositions inspired by the French Renaissance and Romanian folklore. The next day at the same Forest Hills Gardens house of worship, the Con Brio Ensemble will present a twilight concert. Violinist Alexander Meshibovsky and pianist Diana Mittler will play Beethoven’s Sonata in D Major and other selections. Oboist Alan Hollander will present Bach, Schumann, and others. And baritone Darian Worrell will perform Dvorak.
