Astoria-based White Coffee Corporation has partnered with the iconic sweet snack to create a line of MoonPie inspired flavored coffees. The new flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana and Mint, which mirror the flavor offerings of MoonPies themselves. These coffees are on the market now, sold in 10 oz. bags for $5.99-$6.99 per pound.

Jonathan White, Executive Vice President of White Coffee Corporation says, “Chattanooga Bakery has leveraged its MoonPie standard and now includes White Coffee in the process. With a new packaging launch this summer and now a licensed gourmet coffee, the brand is well-positioned to obtain even greater success.”

They originated in Chattanooga, TN at the start of the Depression and were marketed as part of the “working man’s lunch” for coal miners and laborers “who desired a solid and filling snack.”

White Coffee Corporation is a third generation family-owned coffee importing and roasting wholesale business that has been in operation since 1939, and have a factory up in the northern part of Astoria.
