The Real Deal reports on a new rental record set in Astoria: a townhouse apartment at 30-56 35th Street just rented for $5,000 a month. You can check out the Douglas Elliman listing for the three-bedroom duplex here. According to the listing, the property has exposed brick, white cedar floors, a 500-square-foot media room, a Subzero wine refrigerator and black granite countertops. The floors also have radiant heating controlled by a remote control and an iPhone app. According to the broker, “The apartment is amazing, an impressive gut renovation of a pre-war building. There is no other renovation that comes close to this in all of Astoria.”
This unit first hit the market in January for $5,500. It dropped to $5,000 in March and found a renter soon after.
